Trust & safety
Safeguards, on the record
Every booking on BikeBee travels with a paper trail — verified riders, verified hosts, Stripe on the deposit, optional cover, public reviews, and a person at the other end. This page is the full register.
Verified
ID, licence and phone number checked on both sides of every booking.
Stripe on the deposit
฿100 online; the balance settled in person with your host.
Reviews both ways
Public, timestamped, and carried with the account across the country.
Six safeguards
Verified riders, verified hosts
Every account clears an SMS check on the phone number, a passport or Thai ID, and a motorcycle licence or IDP endorsed for two wheels. No document, no booking — on either side of the handshake.
- Phone and SMS confirmed
- Government ID on file
- Motorcycle licence checked
Optional damage protection
An optional add-on at ฿1,000 covering damage during your booking window. Tick the box at checkout, or skip it if your own travel policy already covers two-wheelers. It is never bundled in silently.
- Added only when you tick the box
- Priced the same on every listing
- Terms published before it can be bought
Public reviews, on both sides
When the trip ends the rider rates the host and the host rates the rider. Both records are public and both travel with the account.
- Two-sided and timestamped
- Moderated, but never edited
- Retaliatory reviews removed
฿100 through Stripe, balance in person
The deposit is the only money that passes through our books: Stripe holds it and Stripe releases it. The balance is paid host-to-rider on pick-up day, in cash or by transfer.
- PCI-compliant processor
- No card kept on file after booking
- Refundable against the balance
Listings tied to a real shop
Every listing belongs to a named owner with a shop, a phone number and a neighbourhood — not a fleet algorithm or a brand front.
- Owner name and location on file
- Photos taken by the host
- Reachable before you travel
A person at the other end
In-app chat is threaded with your host and carries the booking. Anything that needs a paper trail reaches an operator by email, usually within four hours.
- In-app chat while a trip is live
- Email for receipts and photos
- Incident line for emergencies
If something goes wrong
- Make yourself safe first. In an emergency in Thailand, call 191 for police or 1669 for an ambulance.
- Photograph everything — the bike, the scene, and any damage — before anything is moved.
- Tell your host. Their number is in your booking, and they know the local garages.
- File a report with us, with the booking reference and your photos attached.
- If you took the optional cover, we open the claim with the underwriter on your behalf.
