Why we built it
BikeBee began because the easy version already existed and was not good enough: hand over a card, skim a waiver, ride off on a bike that somebody, somewhere, faintly remembers promising to service. We wanted a quieter arrangement — one that put the rider and the owner in the same room before the ignition ever turned.
So we built a marketplace where every bike has an owner with a name, a shop, a phone number and a neighbourhood. You reserve with a ฿100 deposit online, and the rest happens where it should — at the pick-up, in cash or by transfer, after a two-minute walk-around and a photograph on both phones. No upsell, no upgrade nag, no surprise card charge at 3am.
We run it from Thailand because this is where two wheels still make the most sense: six thousand kilometres of coastline, a mountain loop with its own Wikipedia page, and a northern border you can reach by scooter from the morning market. The best rides usually start two provinces from wherever you thought you would stay.
The charter
Honest pricing
The price you see is the price you pay. ฿100 reserves the bike online and counts towards the balance. Optional damage protection is ฿1,000 and only appears if you tick the box. Nothing is bundled in silently, and no card stays on file after the trip.
Local hosts
Every listing is owned by a person — a shop in Nimman, a guesthouse on Koh Lanta, a farm-stay outside Pai. They set the price, they keep the bike, they meet you on pick-up day.
Safety, plainly
Every host offers a spare helmet. Every pick-up starts with a two-minute inspection and photos on both phones. Verified profiles and two-way reviews keep the network honest.
Reviews, both sides
When the booking ends, both sides file a review. Rider reputation travels with you across the network, and shops that drop the ball get quietly out-ranked.
All of Thailand
Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Krabi, Koh Samui, Hua Hin, Chiang Rai, Pai, Mae Hong Son — plus every town in between with a shop, a bike, and someone to hand you the keys.
Two wheels, a thousand Thai roads.
