How it works
A booking, in three steps
From first scroll to ignition — how a BikeBee rental actually works. Reserve online for ฿100, meet your host, settle the balance in person.
Step 1: Register
Sign the rider’s register.
Open BikeBee on the web or in the app — it is free, takes two minutes, and asks only what your host needs on pick-up day. Your profile becomes your rider ID across the network: upload it once and it travels with you, booking to booking.
What you’ll need
- Passport or national ID — the one you will be carrying in-country.
- A valid motorcycle licence — Thai, or an IDP endorsed for motorcycles.
- An email address and a mobile number that receives SMS.
Step 2: Reserve
Find the bike, lock the dates.
Search by city, scroll the shortlist, pick a bike you like the look of. Reserve online with a ฿100 deposit — it counts towards the balance when you arrive. Every listing is verified: what you see on the page is what you see when you pull up.
Two ways to book
- Instant — confirmed the moment you pay the deposit. Best for tight turnarounds.
- Request — the host reviews and accepts, usually within a few hours.
- Optional damage protection at ฿1,000 — added only if you tick the box.
Step 3: Ride
Meet the host, set off.
Your host’s contact and the agreed meeting point arrive the second you reserve. Show up, walk the bike together, settle the balance, ride away. When the trip ends both sides leave a review — rider and host rate each other, which is what keeps the network honest.
At the pick-up
- Inspect the bike together — a two-minute walk-around, photos on both phones.
- Pay the balance in cash or by bank transfer, whichever your host prefers.
- Scan the QR code to check in — the booking goes live and the clock starts.
What it costs
- Reservation deposit
- ฿100
- Damage protection (optional)
- +฿1,000
- Daily rental
- ฿100 – ฿3,000/day
- Balance, settled at pick-up
- In person
Stripe handles the ฿100 deposit. Everything else is cash or bank transfer with the host, the way rentals here have always worked. There are no booking fees and no card kept on file.
Worth knowing
Protection, if you want it.
Optional damage protection at ฿1,000, added only if you tick the box. Skip it if your own travel policy already covers you — we never bundle it in silently.
Local hosts, local knowledge.
Every listing is owned by a person — a shop in Nimman, a farm-stay outside Pai, a guesthouse on Koh Lanta. They know the roads, the rain, and the best noodle stand near pick-up.
฿100 holds the bike.
The deposit reserves your choice and counts against the final bill. No upfront full-rental payment, and no card-on-file surprises on the morning of pick-up.
Instant, or scheduled.
Need it in an hour? Instant-book bikes confirm the moment you pay. Planning months out? Request-booking lets you lock dates without rushing the host.
Reviews on both sides.
When the trip ends you rate the host and the host rates you. Rider reputation travels with you — good riders get priority on the best bikes in high season.
The same account on mobile.
The iOS and Android apps mirror the web: bookings, chat, pick-up map, QR check-in. One login either way.
Now pick the bike
From the hairpins above Chiang Mai to the limestone coast around Krabi — search the country, reserve for ฿100, and point something two-wheeled at the horizon.
